  1. How do you participate in an event? Step 1: Sign up to one of the events posted and you will get a confirmation
    Step 2: Add event to your calendar
    Step 3: Confirm approval from your Manager
    Step 4: Complete volunteer day request in Oracle
    Step 5: If a Group Event – get details from the Team Lead and attend the event.
                If an Individual Event – get details directly from the charity and attend the event.

  2. How do you log your request for volunteer day? Step 1: Log into Oracle through My Apps
    Step 2: Click on SC CAN/US Employee Self-Service
    Step 3. Select Absence Management
    Step 4. Click Create Absence
    Step 5: Under Absence Type, select Volunteer Day
    Step 6: Enter date
    Step 7: If you volunteered for a half day, enter a full day but add in the comment section indicate half day utilization
    Step 8: Click Next and then Submit
